OCLC CoG Spring Celebration date set
The dates are set. Planning has begun. Please join the Orange County Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess (OCLC CoG), for their annual Spring Celebration. This annual event is a great time to meet other members of OCLC CoG, share some tasty food and join in their spring ritual.
We will gather together on Saturday, March 9th at noon until 4:00 p.m.
We will be celebrating Ostara, the Pagan celebration of the Vernal (Spring) Equinox. Even though we are joining together on March 9th, we want to acknowledge the day when spring begins. The daytime and the nighttime are of equal length, hence the name “Equinox.” In 2019, the Vernal Equinox occurs on March 20 at 9:58pm.
Our event is family friendly and encourage both OCLC members and friends to come together and celebrate the Equinox. During our event in 2018, those that attended our Spring Celebration and Meet & Greet gathered to decorate eggs, participate in our Ostara ritual and create a Faery Ring. This year, we will once again bring offerings to the Fae during our ritual, along with tokens to enhance our previous ring.
We will be located on the northeast side of the park off Bixby Avenue. Please bring a snack or dish to share; and don’t forget your chair so you have a comfortable place to sit while you get to know our members. Bring your sunscreen as well.
