OCLC’s Spring Psychic Faire May 19th
It’s right around the corner!
The Orange County Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess (OCLC CoG) is gearing up for their annual Spring Psychic Faire. This springtime fundraising event will take place Saturday, May 19th between 10 am and 4 pm. All donations are used to help with other OCLC events and OCLC CoG members’ attendance to Grand Council at Merry Meet. This year, Merry Meet will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
We are fortunate to hold this event at The Dragon and The Rose. Their new location is the perfect venue for our customers, readers, and artisans. You also get to check out the fabulous Wiccan, Pagan and Metaphysical supplies in the store.
Activities
There will be a variety of readers and healers at our Psychic Faire. Camille will be available for Reiki & Crystal Healings as well as our readers of:
- 3 Card Spread,
- Naughty Tarot,
- Tarot,
- Runes, and
- Oracle and Spirit Messages.
Each reading is just $5.
If you are looking for something to take home for your alter, you can make your own Wish Candle. Janine will be on hand to help you customize a candle for calming, love or prosperity. Each wish candle will be $5. Janine will provide candles, oils, and incense for those who sign up.
Tamales
We are excited to have tamales available for those that attend. Freshly made, hot and spicy…there will be a variety available along with cold drinks.
Raffle
Lots of items have been collected for our spring raffle and awaiting their new home. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Many of the items donated have practical or magickal applications so keep your eyes open for a new candle holder for your alter, or trendy birthday gift.
Special Raffle…
A reading by Orion Foxwood
A very special raffle gift was donated to OCLC. Fellow CoG member, Orion Foxwood is donating a reading for one lucky person. If you don’t know Orion, he grew up with the second sight in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, an area rife with the folk practices of the southern and Appalachian tradition. He is a witch and Elder in Romano Celtic-Traditional Craft, High Priest in Alexandrian Wicca and teacher of the Faery Seership tradition. On the lecture circuit, he is best known for his teachings on traditional second sight and folkloric Faery practices originating in the ways of the Faery Doctors and Cunningmen of Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the conjurers of the American South.
Help Your Community
This year, OCLC CoG will be collecting items for Isaiah House of Orange County. Isaiah House has been helping the Orange County community. They see their work as a gift and share the gifts received directly with the poor. They offer good food, over 3000 meals each week. They offer a home as a place where all can be transformed by serving those in need. They offer an open door to those most at risk on the streets. We offer clothes and other necessities to those facing homelessness. You can help by bringing something from their list of Ways to Help Give.
So far this year they have provided blankets for both the homeless and their pets and need more. Please review the list below and bring an item that can be donated to Isaiah House. Don’t forget our furry friends…they could use your help too.
